Linco Care is on track to have an increased turnover of 20% year on year.The company has increased marketing efforts through TV advertising, PR and a partnership with Thomas Cook, which have all proved to be contributing factors, resulting in a 38% increase in sales since July 2017.On top of the sales demand of their current stockists, Linco Care has received an influx of orders from own-label retailers who have struggled to meet the demand from the unexpected soaring UK temperatures.The success of handling the demand is partly down to the company’s investment in the expansion of its head office and production facilities with a factory refit and a 2,500m² warehouse in Carrington, Manchester. The business is also planning to purchase new manufacturing machinery to maintain optimum efficiency and productivity.Capacity to manufacture products to short lead times, and the ability to react to market conditions such as this summer’s surge in orders, has also helped Linco Care cope with the sharp increase in orders.Showing no signs of slowing down, this year’s summer of sun is set to continue over the coming weeks as The Met Office predicts temperatures of up to 34 degrees in some parts of the UK, beating record-breaking temperatures last month.Tony Ward, Senior Sales Manager at Linco Care, said: “We are delighted to be able to meet and exceed the demand for sun care this summer, especially given that it was so unpredicted.
